Carnaby Street Celebrations...

If you walk down Carnaby st today, you will see something like this...

While 50 years ago you would see this...

Carnaby st was at the heart of 'Swinging London' during the 1960s... The whole street was a perfect hang out and place to shop for the youth of the decade, especially those involved in the Mod scene.

2010 is a special year for Carnaby st and Mod culture, as it marks the 50th anniversary since the beginning of the 'swinging 60s'...

The exhibition, 'Carnaby Street: 1960 - 2010' is currently being held at 38 Carnaby Street, London, W1, documenting the history of London's most iconic street and its influential shaping of British music and fashion.

After visiting the exhibition I stumbled across this video on you tube... It makes me want to relive the 60s, whilst 'walking down the street'....
